What it does
Jawline filler adds structure along the jaw and, usually, the chin. It is not about making your face bigger. It is about giving the lower third of your face a defined edge, so the line between your jaw and your neck reads as a line rather than a slope.
It is the treatment men ask for most here, and it is the one where male and female technique differ the most. A woman's jawline is usually softened and lifted. A man's is usually widened at the angle and squared at the chin. Same product, completely different plan.
We use a hyaluronic acid filler, which is the same family of product used for lips and cheeks. It wears off, and it can be dissolved if you want it gone before then.
Is this you?
- Your jaw disappears into your neck in photos, especially from the side
- You have a good jaw when you clench and nothing when you do not
- You have lost definition in the last few years without gaining much weight
- You have a strong upper face and a soft lower one
How it goes
-
Consultation, 10 minutes
A doctor looks at your face at rest and moving, from the front and from the side, and tells you what he would actually do. Sometimes that is less than you came in for.
-
Numbing, 15 minutes
Cream first. The filler itself also contains a local anaesthetic.
-
Treatment, 20 minutes
Usually a cannula rather than a needle along the jaw, which means fewer entry points and less bruising.
-
Two weeks later
You come back, we look at it together, and if it needs a small adjustment we do it. Free.
Results
Same light, same angle, same distance, no retouching.

Will I look done?
Almost certainly not, because overfilled jaws are obvious and we do not do them.
The honest version: overfilling a male jaw makes the lower face heavy and wide, and it looks worse than doing nothing. The way you avoid it is by starting conservatively, treating the angle and the chin rather than flooding the whole jawline, and reviewing at two weeks before adding more. That is our default and it is not up for negotiation on a first visit.
If it ever does look like too much, it can be dissolved.
£695
2 to 3ml
Includes the consultation, the treatment, 2 to 3ml of product, aftercare and your two-week review. Nothing else gets added.
If a doctor thinks you need less than you came in for, you will be told and you will pay less.
Who does it TBC
Every treatment at SkinBros is carried out by a doctor registered with the General Medical Council.
We do not build individual profiles for the doctors who treat you, because we would rather you trusted the clinic and the standard than a name on a website. Your doctor will introduce himself, and he will give you his GMC number if you ask. You can look any doctor up on the register yourself.
Every appointment starts with an assessment, and part of a doctor's job is to tell you when the answer is to do nothing.
Questions
How long does it last?
Usually 12 to 18 months, depending on the area, the product and how quickly you metabolise it. Men often metabolise filler slightly faster than women, which is worth knowing before you compare notes with anyone.
Does it hurt?
It is uncomfortable rather than painful. We use numbing cream first, and the filler itself contains a local anaesthetic. Anti-wrinkle injections feel like a scratch and are over in a couple of minutes. Most men tell us it was less than they expected.
Will I bruise?
You might. Any injection can bruise, and using a cannula rather than a needle reduces it a lot but does not remove it. If you have a wedding or a big meeting coming up, leave a week.
Is it reversible?
Yes. We use hyaluronic acid fillers, which can be dissolved with an enzyme. That is one of the main reasons we use them. Anti-wrinkle treatment is not dissolvable but it wears off on its own in three to four months.
Should I do the chin at the same time?
Usually yes. The jaw and the chin are one structure, and treating one without the other often looks slightly off. A doctor will tell you at the consultation whether you need both or just one.
How much product will I need?
Most men need 2 to 3ml for a first jawline treatment, and that is what the price covers. If a doctor thinks you need less, you will be told and you will pay less. We do not charge by the unit, so nobody is doing sums at your face while you sit there.
What if I do not like it?
Come back and tell us. We will either adjust it at your two-week review or dissolve it. Neither conversation is awkward for us and it should not be for you.
Can I train after?
Leave it 24 hours. Heat, heavy sweating and lying flat in the first day are the things to avoid. After that, back to normal.
